What 4Site offers

Swansea Council's Museums, Galleries and Archives services are unique places of discovery, where pupils and teachers can enjoy new learning experiences outside of the classroom environment. Our cultural venues provide opportunities for pupils to develop their skills and understanding as we encourage them to explore and question the world around them.

Our 4Site sessions are led by artist educators and trained museum and archives staff, linking the city's collection displays, exhibitions, archives and other resources to Key Stage themes, through a range of creative approaches and workshops.

Through a visit, we are able to provide cross curricular skills and learning, meeting the needs of children within the Foundation Phase and into Key Stage 2. Our venues also provide tailor made learning packages for Secondary Schools and Colleges.

4Site venues

Each venue can offer a range of themes relating to the curriculum. Please contact the venue to discuss your chosen topics or visit the venue website for details of the programmes on offer.

Additional resources are available at each venue and enquiries can be made when booking your visit. You can also download a copy of the 4Site brochure at the bottom of this page for more information regarding the venues.

To receive emails with information about all learning opportunities for your school or college, sign up to our e-newsletter here and select the 'School Visit and Educational Opportunities' option.
