Digital event delivers positive message to those looking for work

People looking for work were given a taste of the tech and digital industry at a special event in Swansea.

DigiEvent

Invitees who were out of work had the chance to experience hands-on digital workshops courtesy of Gower College Swansea and Technocamps, a pan-Wales project led by Swansea University.

In addition they had the opportunity to meet local employers with digital job vacancies and work experience opportunities.

The aim was to raise awareness of the digital opportunities available locally now and in the future, and to inspire people to consider digital jobs.

The Digital Employability Event took place at Swansea's National Waterfront Museum. Partners included the Regional Learning and Skills Partnership South West and Mid Wales, Swansea Council, Gower College Swansea and Technocamps (www.technocamps.com).
