Government funded childcare offer

Working parents of 3 and 4 year old children living in Swansea will have access to funded, flexible childcare which will be available during term time, and provide 30 hours of childcare for 9 weeks of the holidays.

The offer will build on children's existing early education entitlement (or sometimes known as Foundation Phase Nursery).

We are delighted that Swansea has been selected as a pilot to fully rollout the offer from January 2019 across the whole of Swansea, we will continue to work with Welsh Government and other local authorities developing the scheme.

What will the offer be?

Welsh Government want the childcare offer to be as clear and easy to access as possible so that parents can continue to choose the providers that best suit their needs.

For 9 weeks of the year, outside of term time, parents will receive 30 hours per week of childcare.
