Foster Swansea

Can you change a future? You could help inspire children and young people to reach their potential by fostering.

Foster Swansea empty nesters

Swansea Council is supporting Foster Care Fortnight 2019 - the UK's biggest annual foster care awareness raising campaign, delivered by fostering charity, The Fostering Network.

The annual campaign runs 13-26 May, and the theme for this year is that fostering changes lives, using the hashtags #changeafuture and #FCF2019.

Every year, Swansea Council shows its support by raising the profile of Foster Swansea and the need for more foster carers. We also want as many people as possible to know how fostering can change lives - not just for the children and young people, but also for the foster families too.

Our campaign will showcase the commitment, passion and dedication of our foster carers, dispel some of the myths that exist in fostering, and also highlight the need for more foster carers.

About us

Foster Swansea is the local authority's fostering service, and aims to provide high quality placements for children and young people who, through no fault of their own, can no longer stay with their birth families.

Placements are provided via our in-house foster carers who play a vital role in creating a stable and loving family environment so children and young people can reach their full potential.

Come and meet us!

Could you change a future by offering a child a loving home? If you have a spare room and are interested in fostering, Foster Swansea are going to be at several locations so you can chat informally to a member of the team, as well as our foster carers.
