Temporary road closures

Temporary road closures for road works or for the avoidance of danger to the public.

These may last for 1 day and up to 18 months, with extensions available in certain circumstances.

Left turn only from St Davids Place into Princess Way.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Princess Way in north-westerly direction orbiting the roundabout at the bottom of Caer Street and returning via Princess Way in a south-easterly direction.

Notice - Temporary footpath closure, Footpath LC40, Loughor

Will continue in force with the approval of the Welsh Government, until and including Tuesday 18 August 2020 or until such time as the works are completed, whichever is earlier.

The effect of such order is as shown in the schedule below. The closure is required to ensure the safety of the public whilst BDW Trading Ltd carry out construction vehicle movements across the footpath. It would have expired on Tuesday 18 February 2020.

From the point where footpath 40 leaves Glebe Road adjacent to number 101 (Grid Reference 576980) in a southerly direction for approximately 531 metres or thereabouts to the point where footpath 40 intersects footpath no. 38 (Grid Reference 576976).

In order for ISG Construction to safely carry out demolition and construction works, it will be necessary to close Mariner Street to vehicular traffic on an intermittent basis.

Schedule

Mariner Street in a westerly direction from its junction with B4489 High Street to its junction with A4118 New Orchard Street, a distance of approximately 210 metres.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via A4118 New Orchard Street, B4290 Alexandra Road and B4489 High Street.

This route will not operate in the opposite direction.

In the interests of public safety and as a result of consultation with South Wales Police, it will be necessary to make the above street one way, prohibiting vehicular traffic travelling in a north-westerly direction from A4067 Victoria Road into B4489 Wind Street.

B4489 Wind Street from its junction Caer Street, in a south-easterly direction to its junction with A4067 Victoria Road, a distance of approximately 270 metres. 

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be A4067 Victoria Road, B4290 Princess Way and Caer Street, a distance of approximately 650 metres.  Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians to be maintained at all times.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be A4067 Oystermouth Road (eastbound), Princess Way (northbound), orbiting the mini roundabout at Caer Street, Princess Way (southbound), A4067 Oystermouth Road (westbound), West Way and Wellington Street, a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometres.
